Michael Marshall Gordon joined the Monitoring and Evaluation directorate of the CHE as Data Administrator in August 2007.
Michael is an ICT specialist with a statistical and analysis background, and has always had an interest in education. He has a BSc Honors in Computer Science and a BSc with Computer Science and Statistics as majors from the University of the Western Cape.
Michael worked as an IT teacher for a while at the Cape Academy of Math, Science and Technology. After that he joined Telkom SA, and then Business Connexion, as an IT specialist.
Michael writes: "I love new challenges. I thrive on difficult situations. I'm a dedicated and reliable person and believe in giving my best. Henceforth I expect the best from those around me. In my time here at the CHE I've seen people striving to always deliver their best."
He is responsible for rendering higher education data into practical information. "It is really challenging and amazing to know that the statistics the CHE works with come from my desk. I am truly honoured to have such a responsibility. I love the CHE environment", he says.
