The Council on Higher Education (CHE) has three Standing Committees, whose role is to provide guidance for the CHE on matters within their areas of responsibility. For information about any of the standing committees, please contact

Audit and Risk Committee
The Audit Committee operates as a sub-committee of Council to assist with the review of the financial reporting process, the system of internal control and the management of financial risks, the audit process, and the CHE’s process for monitoring compliance with laws and regulations. The Audit Committee submits its own report to the auditors.

Human Resources and Remuneration Committee
The Human Resources and Remuneration Committee advises and makes recommendations to the Council and/or its Executive Committee.

Monitoring and Evaluation
The Monitoring and Evaluation Standing Committee supports the work of the CHE’s Monitoring and Evaluation Directorate. It provides guidance and input into the CHE’s advice on and monitoring of all aspects of higher education, except those that specifically address funding and infrastructure.
